Because RealWage never transmits your calculator inputs to a server, our team cannot look up your session remotely. If a number on screen looks unexpected, including the following details helps us reproduce and verify it right away:
- Income Mode & Region: Let us know whether you selected Gig Driving, Hourly & Freelance, or Salary or Wages, plus the country and state, province, or Global currency selected.
- Sample Inputs: Share the sample numbers entered in Gross Payout, Distance, Hours, and Fuel fields (you can use rounded example figures rather than personal financial records).
- Official Source Citation (for Tax/Mileage Updates): If you are reporting a new IRS, CRA, state, or provincial statutory rate change, include a link to the official revenue agency bulletin so our editorial team can verify and update the preset table on How It Works.

We Cannot Recover Cleared Browser Shifts
All calculator inputs and Shift Log entries live exclusively inside your own browser's localStorage. We have no server database and cannot recover shifts if you clear your browser data or lose your device. To keep a permanent copy of your shift history, use the Export (JSON backup) and Mileage Log (CSV) buttons on the Shift Log tab regularly.

No. RealWage is an educational estimation utility, not a licensed CPA, Enrolled Agent, or tax preparation firm. Our calculator and Resource Guides help you estimate net hourly pay and quarterly tax reserves, but you should always consult a qualified tax professional or the official IRS/CRA instructions for your personal filing situation.
